Now, the Robins welcome Greg Mannion as Academy Head Coach from the current Gallagher Premiership Winners, Leicester Tigers.

Mannion has helped to oversee the development of the Tigers’ Academy since joining as a talent pathway coach in 2018 before taking over as Junior Academy Manager and then Assistant Academy Coach until earlier this month.

‘I know that we’re going to put out a rugby team that is going to be working really hard on their effort and competitiveness and that’s something we’re going to pride ourselves on this year.

‘I’m looking forward to working with those lads and hopefully, progressing them through to the first team.’

Hull KR Head of Academy, Jason Netherton said: ‘We’re delighted to have Greg Mannion join us at Hull KR. He comes highly recommended from people within Rugby League and Rugby Union who know him and have worked with him.’

‘Greg comes from a fantastic environment at Leicester Tigers and he’ll add a tremendous amount of value to everything we do within Hull KR’s Academy. We’re really looking forward to seeing how he develops as a coach and we’re excited to see where he can take the team this year.'
