Female Rugby
Hull KR and Hull KR Foundation’s female rugby programme is going from strength to strength with teams running at under 12s, under 14s and under 16s level, with 2019 seeing the creation of the first ever Hull KR Women’s team.
Launched in 2016, the club’s Female Hubs were introduced in partnership with Active Humber and the University of Hull as a chance to involve more young girls in the sport of rugby league with the opportunity to train and play regularly as part of a structured competition with a pathway of progression.
Female rugby in East Hull have taken major steps in the last five years, Hull KR Foundation’s pathways have grown and the club’s Women’s side have been promoted to the RFL Women’s Championship, securing a famous ‘treble' by winning the RFL League Cup, the RFL Championship League Leaders’ Shield and the RFL Championship Grand Final.
The aim of Hull KR Women is to earn promotion to the Betfred Women’s Super League and establish the Robins as a top-flight club.
For girls looking to join the Robins’ female pathways, girls between the ages of 11 and 16 are welcome to attend regardless of ability or previous experience.
