Hull KR’s Scholarship Head Coach, Matty Wilson has named his team to face Huddersfield Giants this Wednesday 20th March, kick-off 7pm at Laund Hill.

The junior Robins will head to West Yorkshire for their first game of the season against familiar opposition after the Academy faced the Giants last weekend.

Going into the season opener, the squad includes five first-year players alongside fifteen second-year players. This year, the side’s Captain will be loose forward, Alfie Woods (Skirlaugh Bulls) with edge back-rower Henry Tully (Myton Warriors) as their vice-captain.

The start of the Scholarship season follows a positive past few weeks for the Robins with multiple scholarship players being chosen for this Summer’s U16s Four Nations tournament between England Community Lions, Scotland, Ireland and Wales that begins on June 1st.

Junior Robins, Josh Guynan and Alex Gorman have been selected for Ireland while Drew Docherty has been chosen for Scotland. Joining the Scholars from Torfaen Tigers, Evan Williams and Cole Pelopida have both been selected for Wales.
