Once a Robin, Always a Robin: Hull KR Confirm 2025 Departures

Hull KR can confirm its departing players and staff at the end of the Robins’ 2025 Betfred Super League season.

Kye Armstrong
Having joined Hull KR in early 2025, Kye has featured regularly for the Robins’ Reserves side this season in the back-row in a year of progress for the team.

Ajahni Wallace
Ajahni Wallace joined the Robins from Bradford Bulls and featured predominantly as a hard-hitting second-row in the first team’s friendlies in 2024 and 2025.

Wallace was a consistent performer for the side before joining Toulouse Olympique on loan for the remainder of 2025.

Neil Tchamambe
A towering winger, Neil Tchamambe signed for Hull KR from Leeds Rhinos and played a part in the Robins first team friendlies in 2024 and 2025.

Having joined Wakefield Trinity earlier this season, Neil has signed a long-term deal with the West Yorkshire club for 2026 and beyond.

Rowan Milnes
Milnes returned to the Robins on loan in 2025 having previously played for the side between 2020 and 2023.

During his time with the Robins, Rowan helped the side to 2021 Play-Off Semi-Finals in addition to the 2022 Challenge Cup Semi-Final and the 2023 Challenge Cup Final. Milnes will depart for a new challenge in 2026.

Connor Barley
Academy Graduate, Connor Barley made his debut for the Robins against St. Helens in 2022 and went on to make three more appearances for the club while featuring for the club’s Academy and Reserves’ sides.

Connor has linked up with championship, club, Featherstone Rovers for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Lennie Ellis
Homegrown Robin, Lennie Ellis made his Hull KR debut away at Wigan in 2023 and has featured for the club from scholarship all the way to first team.

The resilient hooker departs the club for a new challenge in 2026.

Niall Evalds
The fullback made his Hull KR debut in the Robins’ Derby win over Hull FC in Round One of the 2024 Betfred Super League season.

The 32-year-old appeared 32 times in Red and White, scoring 11 tries. Evalds was an integral part of the Robins’ progression in 2024, helping the side to its highest-ever Super League finish and a maiden Super League Grand Final.

Evalds joined Huddersfield Giants on loan and has signed permanently with the side for 2026 onwards.

Danny Richardson
Danny Richardson departs the club at the end of the 2025 Betfred Super League season to take up a new opportunity for 2026.

Richardson joined the Robins midway through the 2024 campaign and has since made six appearances in Red and White, while featuring consistently for the side’s Reserves.
The 29-year-old brought valuable experience and control to the halves during his time at Sewell Group Craven Park, providing leadership and consistency when called upon.

Michael McIlorum
Three-time Super League Grand Final winner and four-time Challenge Cup winner, Michael McIlorum will depart the Robins at the end of the 2025 Betfred Super League season.

McIlorum captured five major honours during his time with the Warriors and was part of the first Catalans’ side to win the Challenge Cup, helping the French side to edge out Warrington Wolves 20-14 in the final back in 2018.

This season, the 37-year-old has helped fire the Robins to a Challenge Cup and League Title double and will look to finish the 2025 season on a high.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves
One of the most decorated forwards in the modern era, Waerea-Hargreaves joined the Robins ahead of the 2025 campaign following 15 dominant seasons with the Sydney Roosters, where he captured three NRL Premierships, four Minor Premierships and three World Club Challenge titles.

The New Zealander made an immediate impact at Sewell Group Craven Park, helping the Robins to secure the Challenge Cup and the League Title. The Rotorua-born powerhouse is intent on finishing his career with more success in Red and White.

Special Mentions

The current Reserves Head Coach and Academy Assistant Coach, Kevin Deighton will depart the club at the end of the season after over 20 years with the Robins. Deighton was Justin Morgan’s assistant coach and part of the Robins’ promotion-winning campaign in 2006 after working his way up from scholarship coach before refocusing on the club’s pathways in his later years.

Hull KR will also say farewell to their Head of Strength and Conditioning, Jimmy McDaniel. Jimmy has spent close to six years with the Robins and has played an integral part in the club’s performance program going from strength to strength.
