Mourgue and Dezaria named in France World Cup Squad

Hull KR duo Arthur Mourgue and Jordan Dezaria have been named in Laurent Frayssinous’ final 23-man France squad for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.

The Robins pair have made the final cut for Les Bleus after initially being included in France’s extended 40-man train-on squad ahead of this autumn’s tournament.

Mourgue and Dezaria are among 19 Super League players selected by Frayssinous, with Toulouse Olympique and Catalans Dragons providing the largest contingents.

Mourgue is no stranger to the international stage and will head to the World Cup with plenty of experience in French colours. The Robins’ full-back also played a key role in helping France secure their place at the tournament, featuring as Les Bleus defeated Jamaica 36-0 in October 2025.

Dezaria will also link up with the national side following his selection in Frayssinous’ final squad, giving the Robins two representatives in the French camp as they prepare to head Down Under.

France will begin their World Cup campaign against Samoa before taking on England and Lebanon during the pool stages.

The tournament will see Mourgue and Dezaria come up against familiar Super League opposition, with Frayssinous’ squad featuring players from across Hull FC, Huddersfield Giants, Catalans and Toulouse alongside representatives from the NRL and French domestic competition.

Congratulations and good luck, Arthur and Jordan!
