Matchday Improvements and Safety Updates Ahead of the 2025 Season
Hull KR are excited to share the improvements and safety updates regarding matchdays at Sewell Group Craven Park for the upcoming season.
SINCE YOU’VE BEEN GONE
A seven-figure investment has been made across the Sewell Group Craven Park campus since last season’s Betfred Super League Play-Off Semi-Final victory over Warrington Wolves including a redevelopment of our popular fan village Craven Streat, a new temporary Wow Hydrate East Stand Seating section and Hull KR Foundation’s Community 3G Pitch. The stadium capacity has grown and now exceeds 11,000.
CRAVEN STREAT
The old South Stand terrace has now been demolished, giving us a bigger and better Craven Streat space and food court options.
The Hull Trains Craven Streat stage has been upgraded to be a more permanent structure, allowing our live music experience to be better than ever before.
Across the new East Stand seats and Craven Streat, we have also tripled the number of toilets available to supporters compared to the start of last season.
LED AND BIG SCREEN
The LED has also been upgraded to a newer system, meaning that the LED advertising boards will now be three-sided running in-front of the RSV North Stand, Craven Streat and Wow Hydrate East Stand.
The big screen has also been raised higher, giving supporters a better view of pre-match and half-time entertainment, in-game replays and video referee decisions. The club have invested in a matchday entertainment software, allowing supporters to upload their photos and messages to the big screen at every game.
BARS
Our bar infrastructure and drinks offering across all areas of the stadium has been improved to increase the speed of service and quality of product.
Craven Streat will now have double the queuing and till points for drinks, and the offering for alcohol has improved to give supporters more options. Alpacalypse IPA, Guinness Draught, ABK, spirt and mixer cans, prosecco by the glass and wine have all been added to our current range. From April, an exciting new cocktail bar will also be added to Craven Streat for those pre-match drinks in the sun.
All beer options will now be draught as opposed to bottles. This is to reduce the amount of single use plastic and to enhance supporter safety following feedback from fans around the incorrect use of bottles during try celebrations.
Kiosks in all stands will now have an improved offering too. The RSV North Stand and The One Point West Stand will have Madri, Carling, Dark Fruits and Worthington’s on draught, an upgrade compared to previous years where it has been Carling and Cider bottles available only.
Significant investment into new draught bars, and multi-pour machines have also been made to the Wow Hydrate East Stand bars to shorten the queueing times.
50/50 DRAW
New for 2025, a 50/50 draw will be available at our home games. Tickets will be £2 with 50% of the ticket sale going to the prize pot and 50% of the sale going to support our teams including Men’s First Team, Women’s, Academy and Netball.
CAR PARKING
With the new Community 3G Pitch now in place, The One Point West Stand car park is reserved for hospitality guests and disabled supporters only. All West Stand car park disabled spaces are sold out. Seasonal car parking memberships are available for St. Richards School online here.
TICKETING AND STADIUM ENTRY
Significant updates to how supporters enter the stadium have been made for this season so please ensure that you read the below information carefully to ensure a smooth experience for all supporters.
UPGRADED TURNSTILE SCANNERS / ANTI-FRAUD MEASURES
The club have worked with Ticketmaster to upgrade our turnstile scanners. The new scanners mean that the turnstile operator will now have to verify that any concession or junior membership is being used correctly, and is not being used by an adult.
All junior members should have emailed their proof of age document to membership@hullkr.co.uk to ensure they are in the correct price category. This only needs to be done once and the club have seen a positive reaction to this initiative so far. If you have not done this yet, please email the club prior to Round One next Friday.
WOW HYDRATE EAST STAND ACCESS
ALL access to the East Stand Standing section will be via the East Stand turnstiles (turnstiles 13 – 20) with NO access to the stand via any other turnstiles, including the Craven Streat turnstiles which were used in previous seasons.
ALL Craven Streat wristbanding will take place directly after entry through the East Stand turnstiles. Do not leave the wristbanding area without your band as this will be a sterile zone with no re-entry to the wristbanding area permitted.
If you do not get wristbanded at this point, bands will not be retrospectively issued so it’s really important, if you plan to enter Craven Streat, that you are wristbanded upon entry.
If you wish to leave the stand to enter Craven Streat you must be wristbanded with no exceptions. If for whatever reason, you do not wish to wear a wristband, you will be asked to make use of the facilities within the East Stand only, and will not be allowed to leave the stand to enter Craven Streat.
Whilst early access to Craven Streat will be provided via the East Stand, the full stand will not be open until 90 minutes before kick-off. For example, for an 8pm kick-off, early access for Craven Streat will begin at 5.30pm. However, the full stand, including bar, will not open until 6.30pm. Access to the terrace will not be permitted until this time, only when the full medical department and staff for the terraced area is in place, will the safety officer green light the area for use by fans.
CRAVEN STREAT ENTRY
We’re excited to welcome fans from all stands into Craven Streat again this season! Please check your new entry point and if you need to receive a wristband / stamp. To speed up entry, and simplify the process, some areas no longer require a stamp or wristband.
East STANDING – See above, please enter via the East Turnstiles (numbered 13 – 20). You must wear a wristband if you plan to leave the stand and use Craven Streat.
East SEATING – Please enter via the South West corner, using the new access lanes (turnstiles 1 – 4). NO wristband or stamp will be issued for this area.
RSV North Stand – For access to Craven Streat, please enter using the new access lanes (turnstiles 1 – 4). A wristband will be issued and must be worn. Before kick-off, please leave Craven Streat via gate 4 (next to the entrance you came in), and re-enter the stadium via the North Stand turnstiles (11 & 12).
If you do not plan to use Craven Streat, please enter via turnstiles 11 & 12 as normal. Please note however, retrospective access cannot be granted to Craven Streat once you are inside the stadium, until after the full time hooter. So if you plan to use Craven Streat before the game, enter via turnstiles 1 – 4 at the south side of the stadium first.
West Stand Seating / Colin McNicol Well standing – Early access turnstiles to Craven Streat will be provided via turnstiles 5 & 6. Please note, access to the full stand will not be permitted until 90 minutes before kick-off. Early entry is for the use of Craven Streat only. NO wristband or stamp will be issued for these areas.
DETECTION DOGS
The club will have detection dogs at all games, checking for pyrotechnics and controlled substances. Any supporter attempting to enter the stadium with any prohibited items will be indefinitely banned. With no refund issue should the support hold a seasonal membership.
PRAMS & BIKES
The club provide an area to lock bikes up within the West Stand car park. We cannot allow bikes to be chained to any fences around the ground as these may block emergency vehicle access.
Prams will no longer be able to be brought inside the stadium, and we are unable to provide pram storage. With the stadium at full capacity for every game, prams could not only could impede a swift and seamless evacuation, but also often do not comply with the greater anti-terror measures the club continues to improve and enforce for everyone’s safety.
RESPECT OUR COMMUNITY
Hull KR are proud to be part of the East Hull community – please be respectful of local residents when parking, entering and leaving the stadium, ensuring that all litter is disposed in the correct manner.
