Hull Trains Cup Final Update
Our friends at Hull Trains have issued the following update regarding Cup Final travel...
Hull Trains are doing all we can to get Hull KR supporters to Wembley for the Challenge Cup Final on Saturday 12thAugust and we have added extra capacity where possible using all 5 of our trains.
We expect to carry over 3,000 fans to London for the match over the weekend, so we expect our services to be extremely busy. To expand capacity, we have added an additional 5 carriages to our 08:24 Hull departure to London in the morning and our 19:48 London departure in the evening. Please head for these services if you have a reservation on them. Each service also has a small number of un-reservable seats in Carriage A, however these are extremely limited. For those seeking to travel earlier there is the 06:17 Hull departure which arrives in London at 08:47. Again there are a small number of un-reservable seats available in Carriage A. We expect this service to be quieter than the 08:24.
As there will be a large number of fans without seat reservations we have added in two additional services. From Hull there will be a 08:32 departure which will call at Brough and London only. If you do not have a seat reservation for the 08:24 Hull departure please head for the 08:32. Hull Trains staff will be in the station to guide you to the train. There are no reservations on this train so there will be over 300 seats available to passengers to sit anywhere. We recommend that you arrive at the station in plenty of time.
For fans travelling back to Hull on the 12th we have added an additional 20:27 London departure which will call at Brough and Hull only. This will be after our 19:48 London departure which we expect to be extremely busy. If you cannot board the 19:48 we strongly recommend that you wait for the 20:27 departure.
Key points to remember for the weekend:
- Before you travel please check whether you have been given a seat reservation. Many fans would have purchased an Off-Peak Day Return without seat reservations. If so, we recommend you head for the additional services put on by Hull Trains for KR fans, detailed above.
- Even with the additional capacity added we do expect the weekend to be extremely busy and there is a high chance that you will have to stand for all or part of your journey.
- Please note that Hull Trains currently offer no Standard class catering on-board. Please buy before you board.
- Arrive at the station in plenty of time. If you need help please seek out a member of Hull Trains or the station staff.

- For those returning to Hull on Sunday, we expect all services to be extremely busy due to a number of events happening in London over the weekend. If you do not have a seat reservation foy our return on Sunday we recommend you arrive at the station in plenty of time and head for Carriage A, our unreserved carriage. You many have to stand for all or part of your journey.
