Hull KR unveil 2026 LCD Alternate Kit

Hull KR are proud to reveal our LCD Alternate Kit for the 2026 season!

The kit is inspired by the story of George Gray and the University of Hull, who played significant role in the pioneering of liquid crystal technology (LCD).

Did you know that the phone in your pocket, the screen on your desk and your Casio Watch exist because of a technological breakthrough over 50 years ago by a research team at the University of Hull?

This breakthrough was crucial for the development of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) used in modern flat-screen TVs, smartphones, and other electronic devices, laying the foundation for a multibillion-dollar industry.

Across the 2026 season, Hull KR are proud to take a piece of Hull on the road to the world and celebrate the city’s role in influencing the technology in every part of the globe.

A classy teal, with yellow detail, the shirt pattern design inspiration is taken from the billions of screens since sold around the world and is available to buy now at hullkr.co.uk/shop.
