Hull KR sign Canberra Halfback Brad Schneider
Hull KR can confirm that Canberra Raiders halfback, Brad Schneider, has signed with the club until the end of the 2023 season.
Brad, who was the 2022 Peter Mulholland NRL Rookie of the Year winner, will add depth to the halfback position after Jordan Abdull suffered a long term hamstring injury in the Catalans defeat last month.
The Adelaide born playmaker will arrive in the UK late this week and could potentially make his debut in the Round 19 clash against Leeds Rhinos.
Schneider made his NRL debut in 2021 before having his breakthrough year last season were he featured ten times for the Raiders.
After speaking with Head coach, Willie Peters, it was the confidence that was shown that steered Brad towards East Hull:
"I'm excited to get over there and rip in. I had a chat to Willie and the one thing that stood out to me the most was how much he wanted me there. As a player, the confidence that gives me, it's a wonderful feeling."
Willie Peters is delighted to have signed someone of Brad's quality midway through the season:
"It's a really positive signing for the club at this stage of the season. Brad's going to give us some much needed depth in the halves, he's a talented young player who works hard, and that's what we want at this club."
