Good Friday Hull Derby Safety Information

Ahead of tomorrow’s Good Friday Hull Derby, which is set to be the highest attended fixture at the MKM Stadium since 2009, supporters are reminded of the following important safety information.

Working alongside Hull FC, SMC, the Safety Advisory Group and Humberside Police, several additional safety and security measures have been put in place at this fixture to ensure a safe environment for all supporters.

Supporters are reminded that all tickets for this fixture are physical and not digital. Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter Final tickets will not work for this game.

An increased police and stewarding presence will be in force in and around the stadium, before, during and after the match to ensure the safety of all supporters.

Following minor disorder at the recent Betfred Challenge Cup fixture between the two sides, six supporters have been issued with three-year banning orders from both the MKM Stadium and Sewell Group Craven Park for a range of offences including possession of Class A drugs and for use of pyrotechnics.

Additional security measures including sniffer dogs, trained to detect pyrotechnics and illegal substances, will be in operation outside the ground, with all away supporters to be searched on entry to the MKM Stadium.

Both clubs hold a zero tolerance policy on pyrotechnics and drugs, and any supporters displaying such behaviour will be refused entry/ejected from the ground.

Hull KR Chief Executive, Paul Lakin, added:

“The club have been clear on a number of occasions that any supporter whose behaviour falls below our expectations will receive an immediate ban with no exceptions.

We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for our supporters and we will not have a small minority impact what has otherwise been exemplary behaviour from our fans all year.”
