Connor Barley to join York RLFC Knights on a season long loan

Hull KR can confirm young winger Connor Barley will link up with York RLFC Knights on a season long loan.

Connor, who made his first team debut last season will join York to get some regular game time this season and further his development after being one of seven academy graduates this season.

Head Coach Willie Peters signified how important it is for Connor and why it's also a good opportunity for him:

" This is a great opportunity for Connor to further develop his game while still playing in a very strong competition. Connor is still in the early stages of his career so it’s important he plays as much Rugby as possible, and playing against men on a weekly basis is a key to further his game.

We wish Connor all the best for the season, however he is still very much part of what we are doing here at Hull KR."
