Club President Mike Smith pays tribute to Phil Lowe:

"Today, our great club and Rugby League have lost a legend.

I cherish the time and memories we spent together whilst playing for Hull KR, which we shared through the good times and the bad. This created a bond which will stay with us all forever.

Phil was a once in a lifetime player, and a person that l aspired to be. His success around the world of Rugby League made him an all-time great.

He always gave the Robins 100%. As a player, and later as a director, he gave everything to help the club be where it is today.

I am fortunate to have been a teammate, friend and to have graced the same pitch, and I will be forever grateful to have spent time with Phil.

I’m sure some older supporters remember him in full flight on the field which was a sight to behold. We were all lucky to witness that.

We will miss his aura around the club that only great players bring and I’m sure the Hull KR family will hold him in their hearts forever. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Avril, Andy, Katie and all of his family and friends at this sad time."
