Amsterdam Challenge: Everything You Need To Know

The 2025 RugbyLeague.com Amsterdam Challenge is fast approaching and we can't wait to see the Red Army take over the capital of the Netherlands! This page will tell you everything you need to know ahead of the Robins' first trip to Amsterdam.

Tickets

Digital tickets have now been sent out, if you have not received your ticket then please email membership@hullkr.co.uk. Tickets do not need to be printed as the barcode can be scanned from your smartphone device.

Remaining tickets will be available to buy on the gate at the NRCA Stadium.

Belushi's / Official Fan Parties

We're taking the full Hull KR fan experience on tour with us to Amsterdam! Belushi's will be the place to be all weekend with a Robins' takeover scheduled on the Friday night and Saturday.

DJ Ben Shepherd and Neil Rudd will get the party started in Belushi's from 4pm on Friday 24th January, before being joined by Willie Peters, Dean Hadley and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves from approximately 5:30pm.

There'll be interviews, Q&A's, party games, giveaways and much more! Not only that, but Belushi's will also offer the best drink deals in the city and 25% off food for Hull KR fans with a party wristband.

Willie Peters, Dean Hadley and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will return to Belushi's from 11am on the Saturday morning - a perfect opportunity for supporters making the trip for the day to meet and hear from Hull KR first team stars!

If you have purchased a Belushi's wristband, please make sure you have picked this up from the Fan Experience Zone at Sewell Group Craven Park.

Matchday

Gates at the NRCA Stadium will open from 12pm, and history will be made as the first ever Netherlands Origin Match will take place as a curtain-raiser before the Robins take on the York Knights.

We're taking Craven Streat on tour with us, and DJ Ben Shepherd will be on the decks from 12pm. Street food and drink vendors will also be available in the fan zone.

Kick-off for Hull KR vs York Knights is 2:30pm but make sure you join us before then for the usual pre-match entertainment and for the Netherlands and England national anthems.

Please note that all seats are unreserved unless otherwise stated on the seat.

Half-time will see the return of the popular 'Catch the bomb'! Craven Streat on tour will then re-open for the post-match party.

Amsterdam City Centre Coach Transfers

Coach transfers from the city centre are available at travel.amsterdamchallenge.com. Priced at £19, coaches will set off from Amsterdam City Centre to the NRCA Stadium at 1pm and then return to the city centre at full-time.

Please note that these will go off sale at 5pm on Wednesday 22nd January.

FAQ'S

What time do activities start at Belushi's?

On the Friday night, the Hull KR takeover will start from 4pm. Your Belushi's wristband will give you 25% off food and the best drink deals in the city centre.

What time does the NRCA Stadium open?

Gates for the NRCA Stadium will open at 12pm.

Can I pay on the gate?

Yes, remaining tickets will be available to buy on the gate.

Do I need to print my tickets off?

No, the digital barcode on a smartphone device will be accepted on the gates.

Are seats reserved?

No. Unless otherwise stated on the seat, all seats are unreserved, therefore fans are advised to arrive in plenty of time.

Will it be the full 'Hull KR Experience'?

Yes, fans can expect the full matchday experience they enjoy at Sewell Group Craven Park, along with events within the actual City itself.

Belushi’s will be the place to be before and after Saturday’s game. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, Belushi’s will host appearances from Willie Peters, Dean Hadley and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves with Craven Streat’s very own DJ Ben Shepherd, live music, games and Hull KR giveaways in tow.

The match will be played at the NRCA Stadium, Amsterdam, which is the home of Rugby Netherlands.

What are the stadium travel links?

The stadium is conveniently located just a 20 minute drive from Schiphol International Airport, and just a 20 minute drive from Amsterdam Central Station.

Public transport is also available from Amsterdam City Centre to the Stadium, please check local information for details of the exact services which will be running.

Will the stadium sell food and drink?

Yes, the stadium will be providing a full range of food and drink options. Please note you will not be able to enter the stadium with your own food or drink. Entry to the stadium will be denied to anyone who appears to be intoxicated.

Why are Hull KR taking a game to Amsterdam?

The 2025 RugbyLeague.com Amsterdam Challenge is not only going to be a great experience for existing supporters, but it will help grow the club and sport of Rugby League in a new territory.

The Hull KR Foundation has worked with Netherlands National Rugby League Governing body for some time, to assist them with their goal of becoming World Cup Accredited.

With over 100 rugby clubs in the country, it’s a natural territory for Hull KR to explore new male and female pathways and grow our footprint, in a neighbouring country.
