Hull KR set to unveil second Alternate Kit for 2026
We will be there! 100 years of Red, Red Robin...
Hull KR will unveil our second alternate shirt for the 2026 season at 6pm tomorrow night, celebrating 100 years since Harry Woods wrote the words and music for our club anthem, "When the Red, Red Robin (Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin' Along)”.
Sung by supporters on the terraces, and by the players in the changing rooms ever since, the song is the metaphorical baton handed down from generation to generation.
In our long and illustrious history, home grounds may have changed, badges evolve, players move on, but the one constant is the iconic song and moment we share together at each game.
Use of 'The Robins’ as our nickname, can be traced back to the 1800s, and is believed to be the first UK sports team to adopt an animal-based nickname.
The original nickname, bestowed on the club in our very early seasons because of the red band across the chest of their jerseys, was ‘the Redbreasts’.
The shirt will be revealed across the club’s social channels tomorrow at 6pm, and is now available to order online at hullkr.co.uk/shop.
The club would like to thank all of our kit partners, Hünnebeck, Connexin, Harrison Solway, IRS, AC Enviro, University of Hull, Novum Personnel, Westside Day Nursery, Steve Leaming Plant and as ever our technical kit partner, Oxen.
Silver and Gold Rovers Forever members will receive their shirt vouchers automatically to the direct debit holders email address, once their first payment for 2026 season is made.
WE WILL BE THERE!
