2026 Betfred World Club Challenge Sells Out in Record Time

Hull KR are delighted to confirm the Clash of the Champions, Hull KR vs Brisbane Broncos, has sold out all 24,600 tickets available at the MKM Stadium becoming the fastest selling World Club Challenge ever.

The fixture has sold out in record time, with all tickets snapped up in the pre-sale window by eager supporters who registered their interest before the general sale window was set to open tomorrow noon.

The Robins will set a new club Rugby League attendance for the MKM Stadium, previously set by Hull FC in 2007, when 23,000 fans packed in for the Hull Derby.

That means the second consecutive sell-out for a Betfred World Club Challenge in England, after Wigan Warriors announced a sell-out for their victory over Penrith Panthers in February 2024.

February is set to be a massive month for the Robins on the global stage, with a trip to Las Vegas for the Battle of Yorkshire vs the Leeds Rhinos following the week after the clash with the Broncos. A limited number of Hull KR Supporter Bay tickets have just been released via the UK link here.

Hull KR Chief Executive Paul Lakin said:

“We are delighted to achieve a sellout of the MKM Stadium in record time, our 31st consecutive sell-out, with all league and playoff games selling out since late 2023. A truly phenomenal achievement and testament to so much work behind the scenes, and our loyal fanbase.

24,600 Robins, with some Broncos and neutrals included, will have the MKM Stadium bouncing on the 19th February. We can’t wait to show the world what we, and the City of Hull, are all about. It promises to be a magnificent occasion for all and we’d like to thank everyone for their support.”

Nigel Wood, Chairman of RL Commercial, said:

“It’s a reflection of the feelgood factor at Hull KR after their historic treble-winning season of 2025, and also further evidence of the appeal of major international Rugby League events.

“The 2025 season ended with a big attendance at Old Trafford for Hull KR’s victory over Wigan Warriors in the Betfred Super League Grand Final, followed by two sellouts in the ABK Beer Rugby League Ashes series in Liverpool and Leeds.

“The prospect of Reece Walsh and three other members of the Kangaroos’ Ashes-winning squad returning so soon with Brisbane Broncos, a club with such history in the World Club Challenge, is genuinely mouthwatering – and it’s captured the imagination not only of Hull KR’s growing support base, but of the city of Hull and of Rugby League fans.

“It’s been exciting for us at RL Commercial to see the rewards of working closely with Hull KR in promoting this match to supporters of other clubs in the Betfred Super League and Championship.

“We’ll shortly be announcing an exciting opening round of fixtures for the 2026 Betfred Super League season which will be followed by the World Club Challenge at the start of Round Two, and then Super League’s return to Las Vegas with the Battle of Yorkshire between Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos on Saturday 28th February, in addition to two matches from the NRL – a fantastic start to the Rugby League year.”

The 2026 Betfred World Club Challenge will be live and exclusive on Sky Sports on Thursday February 19, kicking off at 7.30pm GMT.
