Hull KR announce details of a special limited edition World Club Challenge Shirt
Fit for the world stage. Hull KR are delighted to announce a special limited edition World Club Challenge shirt.
The Betfred World Club Challenge is now just over two weeks away, when we will take on the Brisbane Broncos in a battle for world glory at the sold-out MKM Stadium.
To mark the occasion the Robins will unveil a special one-off shirt to be worn on the night, tomorrow at midday.
The limited-edition shirt will then go on sale at 6pm online at hullkr.co.uk/shop.
Limited to just 1,984, each shirt will be individually numbered. 1984 of course recognising the special 1983/84 season, which saw the club famously beat the State of Origin Champions Queensland 8 – 6 in an unforgettable night in 1983, before the side went on to be the first ever to claim an historic league Championship and Premiership Final Double in 1984.
Hull KR Chief Executive Paul Lakin said: “For our historic World Club Challenge clash, we could think of no shirt design, that is more fitting, and iconic in our history than the one we will unveil tomorrow.
Leaning into the spirit of ’84 and that remarkable team that beat the best of Queensland, before securing the historic double. We know we’ll need to tap into that sides spirit and be at our very best to claim the title of world champions in 2026.
It’s a design never used in the ‘Oxen era’, and one we are sure will be an instant hit with everyone and in very high demand tomorrow night, especially when they find the hidden ‘Easter Egg’ within the design.
We can’t wait to share it with supporters.”
The new kit, sponsored by new principal partner Hünnebeck, and produced by Oxen will be available at 6pm on Thursday 5th February at hullkr.co.uk/shop for immediate dispatch.
The club would like to thank all of our World Club Challenge shirt partners, Hünnebeck, Connexin, Harrison Solway, IRS, Hudgell Solicitors, University of Hull, Westside Day Nursery, Steve Leaming Plant and as ever our technical kit partner, Oxen.
