Grade A for the Robins

Hull Kingston Rovers are delighted to confirm our illustrative IMG club grading as the top award of ‘Category A’

Chairman Paul Sewell is pleased with this outcome, but says there is more to do for the club to reach its full potential, and said:

“We are pleased with our initial grading, which shows the great progress we’ve made over the past couple of years.

It is welcome recognition of all the hard work happening around the club. From the new Board of Directors, our Partners and Sponsors, Staff and Players – to our involvement in the local Community. Everyone has worked tirelessly behind-the-scenes to ensure we meet our aspiration of being ‘Top 4’ in everything we do - with the leadership of Chief Executive Paul Lakin being paramount in that effort.

We would like to thank IMG for their comprehensive independent audit, their feedback will continue to guide our long-term strategy as the game seeks to work on its attractiveness to new audiences.

The grading of course reflects our loyal, passionate and engaged supporter base too. Not only have we seen growth on the terraces, but across all of our digital platforms, in terms of reach and engagement. So to everyone following our journey, either here with us at the stadium or at home, thank you for your continued support. It is appreciated and never taken for granted.

Whilst we are pleased with progress made so far, we recognise there is still much more to do if we are to achieve our ultimate aims and objectives.”

Grading of clubs was one of the seven recommendations which were presented to Rugby League in the autumn of 2022 as part of IMGs reimagining of the sport, and which were supported by a substantial majority of clubs at all levels.

Following this initial assessment the club will continue to develop its long-term strategic business plan to further improve on the areas identified by the report, and the development of the Sewell Group Craven Park campus.
