SANDERCOCK RUES DROPPED POINT

Craig Sandercock was happy with his side's effort against St Helens but believes that they should have taken both Super League points rather than just the one.
"It's very disappointing that we didn't get both points," he said. "I thought the boys' effort was outstanding, they tried really hard and again, as usual, we picked up a couple of injuries during the game which didn't help.
"But having said that, I'm sure the boys will look back on those last five minutes and think that they could, and should, have done a lot better. They didn't, and we paid the penalty."
Being 14-0 down so early on in the contest put the Robins behind the eight ball and Sandercock knows that his side need to start better in games.
"We need to really concentrate on how we approach a game from the start," he continued. "We also conceded two tries at the start of the second half and it's something we need to address and address quick-smart otherwise Warrington will put 60 points on us next weekend.
"I'm not sure why we started slowly and there's a myriad of reasons why it may have happened. We just have to knuckle down, concentrate and make sure we're more focused when we run onto that football field."
Injuries are part and parcel of rugby league but the Robins seem to be getting more than their fair share at the moment and it's a big source of frustration for the Head Coach.
"Josh Hodgson rolled his ankle, Lincoln Withers looks like he has some kind of adductor strain and David Hodgson looks like he's torn a pectoral muscle," he added.
"As I've said, I'm extremely disappointed not to have won that game of football but when you look at the amount of injuries that we picked up again and the effort the boys put in, it was very impressive.
"We lost both of our dummy halves and for that last five minutes it was just a case of hanging in there as best we could but unfortunately we weren't quite good enough to get the victory.
The injuries are disappointing but we do have depth in the squad so other people may get an opportunity."
