GET STARTED WITH RUGBY!

The Hull Kingston Rovers Education and Sport Trust are offering a fantastic opportunity to any aspiring 16-18 year old wanting to take the first step on the coaching ladder.

The ‘Get Started With Rugby' scheme is a five day course which, in partnership with the Prince's Trust, has a core aim to develop the knowledge of all aspects of rugby league.

The programme will offer participants the chance to gain a Rugby League Leaders Award qualification, and the opportunity to progress to gain entry for a level one coaching badge.

Other key aims will be:

• To cover a wide range of coaching skills and basic first aid.

• Assist participants to progress through post-programme support.

• Offer opportunities for sustained engagement in positive activities after the programme.

• Increase participant's confidence and motivation and equip you with transferable skills such as communication, teamwork and leadership.

During the week long course you will be provided with all the equipment needed, such as a free sports kit, travel and lunch expenses.

You will also receive post course help where the aim is to provide three months support to help participants gain further training, education and employment advice.

Participants will also get the chance to gain access to some of MS3 Craven Park's facilities and be around a professional club environment.

To qualify you must be:

• Aged between 16-18.

• That you are not in education, employment or training.

• Residing in any of the postcodes in the HU1-HU9 area.

There will be a taster day open to anyone interested in this great opportunity which will be held on Wednesday 22nd February 2012 from 10am-3pm.

The programme will start the week commencing Monday 27th February and will run until Friday 2nd March. Each day will start at 10am and finish at 3.30pm at MS3 Craven Park.
