NEWTON EXTENDS HIS STAY

Story in brief:
Second rower Clint Newton has signed a four year extension to his contract keeping him at the club until 2013.

The 27-year-old, who played a key role in the Storm's NRL Grand Final in 2007 joined the Robins for the 2008 engage Super League Season and has never looked back.

"There is no other team I want to play for" Newton said.

"I have no desire to go back and play in the NRL because there is something special happening here at Rovers and I want to be a part of it. I love living and playing here, Justin and his team have a great plan in place and I really believe we can start to achieve those big titles.

The news provides a timely boost for Rovers ahead of the clash against Celtic Crusaders at Craven Park this Sunday in what will be the Crusaders 100th competitive game.

Head Coach Justin Morgan added: “Clint is an exceptional player with huge amounts of talent. He offers the side leadership both on and off the field; Clint extending a contract for a further four years is testament to how far this club has come.

Hull KR take on Celtic Crusaders this Sunday 3pm kick-off and supporters can purchase tickets from the official retail store 269 Holderness Road. For all ticket enquiries simply call 0844 2490 105.
